After that, the Samara Provincial Duma announced a “public censure” to Mikhail Abdalkin. The deputies unanimously recommended that the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation expel the parliamentarian from the party, and also appealed to law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s office with a request to give a legal assessment of the situation.
Then, an administrative protocol was drawn up against Mikhail Abdalkin for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 20.3.3 Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Last week, the Novokuibyshevsk City Court began hearings on this issue. The parliamentarian pleaded not guilty.
